You Can Make Comments Now!!
For those of you who were having trouble making comments to our blog, I think I fixed it now. :) You can sign in as anonymous...just be sure to sign your name at the bottom of your comment so we know who you are! :)
Lots of Learning Going On...
We've been working so hard on our SATs in class. We've also been hard at work learning new concepts in math. Last week, we learned how to find an area of a shape. We also learned how to divide numbers into equal groups in preparation for learning our multiplication facts! :) Add Reading, English, Bible, Spanish and Science to each day and I can surely say...it's been a very busy week!!! :)
Tis The Season Of Losing Teeth!
We're losing LOTS of teeth in second grade! Not a day goes by that someone doesn't tell me they have a loose tooth. As you very well may know...the kids try and pull their teeth out while in school so that they can get the ohhhh so coveted tooth holder necklace! :) I think I should start collecting the tooth fairies commission for all the teeth I get to pull out! :) :) :)

Celebrating Easter!
We had so much fun celebrating Easter and Christ's Resurrection in our class! :) One of my favorite things about this wonderful class of mine is how much they love to dance and sing. They are always breaking out into a song or dancing a conga line to recess. I just had to teach them "The Bunny Hop" for our Easter party. :) It wouldn't be complete without bunny ears and a bunny nose sucker! :) As we celebrated Easter with our fun Easter party, we remembered what Christ did for us on the cross and celebrated the wonderful fact that He is Risen!
Love,
Mrs. K
Better Late Than Never!
Welcome to Mrs. K's Second Grade Blog! This has been something I have been wanting to start for a while to document our day to day life in second grade. I hope it gives the parents of my students more insight into their child’s life at school and be an extra tool of communication between my students and their families. The second graders will be writing some of the blogs and answering questions in the comments section. So PLEASE feel free to leave us comments and visit often! :) I hope you enjoy this sight and come back often!
Love,
Mrs. K :)
