Sigh... :) :) :)

It warms a teacher's heart to come to school in the morning and see this going on outside the classroom window. Instead of playing on the playground before flag salute, these boys were cracking up and having fun reading this funny book together. :)
Love it! :)

Busy Beavers!!

While working in the classroom over the weekend to prepare for Open House, I had some surprise worker angels stop by to help! It takes a village to help this teacher prepare for Open House! :) I am SO thankful for all the wonderful, incredible parent help this year and so blessed for precious friends who stop by on a late night to cut and glue and keep me company! :)

Miss Justine brought her sweet sister and wonderful mom to help cut out our Abe Lincoln hats, super hero stars and lots of laminated shamrocks! :) They were such life savers for this teacher!! And boy, were they talented cutters!! Seriously...they have mad scissor skills!

Silly Miss Virgie!! I think cutting out lots of Abe Lincoln hats were making her crazy! :)
Isn't she nice?! Even though she's wearing a UCLA sweatshirt..we still love her very much!

Mr. K is ALWAYS there to help us in our class. He is the ladder man and hangs all the super heroes from the ceiling, clouds in the sky and art high on the walls for us! Our class is so blessed to have him as a helper and a friend! We love him SO MUCH! :)

Charlie and Lola came to help too.
Well, okay... they kept me company and were excellent guard dogs...when they weren't sleeping! :)

Welcome To Our World!

We've had two new additions to our sweet little second grade family this year! Aren't they the cutest little NEW second graders that you have ever seen? :) :) :)
I know there are two new WONDERFUL big brother and sister in our class who LOVE to show off their new precious little siblings! We are so excited and happy for our friends and their families! Congratulations! :)

Brush Your Teeth Twice A Day! Floss Your Teeth Once A Day!

Did you know that February was "National Flash Your Cutest Smile" Month?! Yes...I know...I am a month late. But by looking at these adorable smiles...I say better late than never!! :) In honor of National Dental Care month we flashed our silliest and cutest smiles for the camera! We also learned a catchy new song..."Brush your teeth twice a daaayyy...Floss your teeth once a day!" :)

These are our sweet fourth grade buddies who got in on the smiley action! :)
Our wonderful fourth grade buddies give up their lunch recess on Tuesdays to help us with computers. How cute are they? :)

Mrs. Tucker is the culprit for all this smiley business! She lets us know each month what national holiday we should celebrate or observe. Like this month...the month of March? Yep...it's Happy National Adopt A Rescued Guinnea Pig Month!!!!!
:) :) :)
Have you loved on an adopted rescued guinnea pig yet this month????
You still have some days left...so get to it! :)
Thanks Mrs. Tucker! We love you!

Jog-A-Thon!!!

Jog-A-Thon is always such a fun night! After such a busy week at school, it was so much fun to go to the track at APU and jog under the big lights with our family and friends! With the music blaring and this teacher cheering very loudly, super fast second graders ran lap after lap! The most laps run that night were TEN! Woo! Hoo! :) Thank you Super, Awesome, Speedy Second Graders for jogging and raising money for our wonderful school. You help to make our school the best place that it can be! :)

Lots of hot, sweaty and tired second grade joggers after running LOTS of laps! :)

This teacher's favorite part of the night is cheering very LOUDLY for the most awesome and incredible second grade joggers! Oh...and of course...taking as many pictures with my friends as I can! :)

We love our Miss Virgie! :)

FOUND!!!
The case of the missing jogger finally solved !!!!
I had to grab him for a quick pic before he disappeared again!
:) :) :)

Miss Meghan...our APU friend! :)
