Open House!

I love Open House when all our wonderful families get to come and visit our classroom. It's always so much fun for me to see my students show off all their hard work to their parents! They are full of pride and have a wonderful sense of accomplishment...rightly so! These second graders have worked SO HARD this year and have been producing amazing, incredible, beautiful work! :) They are incredibly smart and artistic and very creative! A few favorite projects this year were designing our own super heroes, writing what we would do if we were President of the U.S.A and creating Keynote presentations on our laptops. I am so proud of all my SUPER Second Graders!! :) Keep up the wonderful work!!!!

Busy Beavers!!

While working in the classroom over the weekend to prepare for Open House, I had some surprise worker angels stop by to help! It takes a village to help this teacher prepare for Open House! :) I am SO thankful for all the wonderful, incredible parent help this year and so blessed for precious friends who stop by on a late night to cut and glue and keep me company! :)

Miss Justine brought her sweet sister and wonderful mom to help cut out our Abe Lincoln hats, super hero stars and lots of laminated shamrocks! :) They were such life savers for this teacher!! And boy, were they talented cutters!! Seriously...they have mad scissor skills!

Silly Miss Virgie!! I think cutting out lots of Abe Lincoln hats were making her crazy! :)
Isn't she nice?! Even though she's wearing a UCLA sweatshirt..we still love her very much!

Mr. K is ALWAYS there to help us in our class. He is the ladder man and hangs all the super heroes from the ceiling, clouds in the sky and art high on the walls for us! Our class is so blessed to have him as a helper and a friend! We love him SO MUCH! :)

Charlie and Lola came to help too.
Well, okay... they kept me company and were excellent guard dogs...when they weren't sleeping! :)
