Hannah at the Olympics!

Our third grade friend, Hannah, is at the Olympics and reporting for the LA Times. We have been following her adventures in class by reading her weekly blogs and seeing all her cool pictures. She has been able to hold the Olympic torch before opening ceremonies, she has met many athletes and has been to a hockey game. :) Sounds like fun, huh? Check out more of Hannah's blogs below.

"We Have Never Seen Anything Like This!"

Thank you so much to ALL of you incredible parents who worked so hard providing your child with a wonderful costume for the day! I sure do appreciate you all and thank you so much for all your help in making our play the very best it could be! :)
The Calderwood family caught one of our performances of the day and captured it on video for us! Thank you!!!

Fantastic Friday!!!

On Friday, our class presented a play about Jesus as the Great Physician as part of our school wide Fantastic Friday series. I am so proud of all my precious second graders who put on such a great show last Friday. In fact, they put on eight amazing shows for our whole school including Pre-school! J They did such a wonderful job and were awesome in presenting their play through out the day. Their portrayal of Jesus as the Great Physician was precious and so sweet. They really brought to life the story of Jesus and his miraculous healings! Here are some highlights from our day:

The paralyzed man visits Jesus.

Jesus heals the arthritic woman!

"Praise God! Hallelujah! We have never seen anything like this!"

"I just need to touch his clothes, then I will be healed!"

The man with leprosy is healed by Jesus!

The Roman Commander meets Jesus.

Many people came to be healed by Jesus.

“He suffered the things we should have suffered. He took on himself the sicknesses that should have been ours.” Isaiah 53:4

The Roman Commander and his right hand-man soldier!

Jesus and several of his disciples!
