MAN POINTS!

These guys totally earned some major Man Points getting up on the tunnel. It's quite the feat getting to the top of the tunnel. It requires a fast head start run, huge jump up and some serious grunting and growling. But once you're on top of the tunnel...the view and man points are totally worth it.

"Man Points" brought to you courtesy of Rusty and his dad! :)

Polka-Dotted Cuteness

Sometimes, reporting on fashion is important! Especially, on special days like Picture Day! In case you didn't know, Polka Dots are the IN for this season. Some great minds think alike! :)
Maybe we should inform "Red Dot" of this years trend. Polka-dotted uniforms, anyone? :) :) :)

Geometric Shapes!

One of our first math lessons was learning about geometric shapes and polygons. We learned that polygons are shapes with straight sides and no openings. Ask your 2nd grader if a circle is a polygon! :) We use math manipulative's like these geometric shapes to reinforce the math skills being taught.

Playground Friendship!

We're grateful for TWO playgrounds to play on during recess and free time. We're grateful for friends new and old. We're grateful that our parents sacrifice a LOT to send us to Sonrise Christian School! :) There's a whole lot of cuteness happening in these playground pictures. Enjoy!

The First Days of School

The first days of school were filled with excitement and anticipation of a new year. I was thoroughly impressed with my new little class of second graders. They were all well behaved and very smart. Their first grade teachers had trained them well and they seemed more than prepared to start the second grade. :) It has been such a joy for me to get to know each unique and wonderful little personality. I know this is going to be a great year together! :)
